What is Vagina Aesthetics?
Vaginoplasty, or more commonly known as vagina aesthetics, is a genital plastic surgery operation in which the deterioration of the vagina, such as enlargement and wear, is corrected over time or after childbirth in women. In its more common form, vaginoplasty is also known as vaginal aesthetics or vaginal tightening operation. In recent years, this genital plastic surgery operation has become very popular among women.
Why is Vagina Aesthetics Done?
As the age increases, structural vaginal enlargement may occur in women. Vaginal ruptures and enlargements also occur in normal births. These enlargements can cause dissatisfaction and bad sexual experiences during sexual intercourse. It can also cause gas and urinary incontinence problems from the vagina in women. Due to the excessive enlargement of the vagina, even the fall of the tampons occurs.
Such problems can cause psychological problems such as sexual reluctance and lack of self-confidence in women. With vaginoplasty, these enlargements from the vagina are corrected, causing women to have a better sexual intercourse experience and increase their self-confidence.
Who Are Vaginoplasty Candidates?
- Women with postpartum vaginal tearing and enlargement
- Women who have vaginal enlargement with advancing age
- Women who genetically have a wide vagina
- Women with trauma or damage to the vaginal area

Information About Aesthetic Operation
The rate of vaginal tightening to be performed in the vaginoplasty operation is determined by determining the amount of enlargement as a result of the doctor’s consultation and examination with the patient.
During the operation, an incision is made inside the vagina. Excess tissues in this area are removed. Relaxed muscle tissues are tightened. At the end of the operation, horizontal sutures that dissolve into the inner part of the vagina are thrown.
After the Aesthetic Operation
The incision made during the vaginoplasty surgery does not show scars left inside the vagina. The patient may experience pain for a few days after the surgery. Painkillers are recommended for these pains.
About 1 week after the operation, the patient can return to his daily routine. However, the patient should not use tampons and should not have sexual intercourse for at least 6 weeks.
