What is Thigh Lift?
Thigh Lift is a plastic surgery operation that removes excess fat and sagging skin that occurs in the Thigh (Leg) region over time, and ensures that the region is streched and tightened.
Why is Thigh Lift Done?
As the age progresses, the skin loses its elasticity and sagging occurs. External factors such as rapid weight gain and loss, the sun and the genetic structure of the individual are also effective in these sagging.
Sagging and regional fat deposition on the skin creates an aesthetically bad appearance, especially in the thigh (upper leg) region. These fat deposition and sagging in the thigh region, which is one of the most attractive and sexual parts of the body, especially in women, cause a lack of self-confidence and psychological problems.
With thigh lift surgery, a more tense and aesthetic appearance is achieved in thighs, helping individuals to increase self-confidence and to eliminate psychological problems.
Along with thigh lift surgery, excess fat cells in the region can be removed by liposuction and an even more beautiful appearance is obtained by getting rid of regional fat. You can find more information about the liposuction operation frmo our liposuction page.

Preoperative Examination
Patient candidates who are considering having Thigh (Leg) lift surgery should first seek the opinion of a specialist plastic surgeon. As Soyep, we observe the following issues regarding the patient during the examination:
- The realism of the patient’s expectations about the surgery
- The patient’s mental health
- The patient’s medical history and diseases, if any
If the patient has allergies - Medicines used by the patient
- The patient’s use of cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs, if any
Thigh lift surgery is not recommended if the patient is overweight and/or plans to lose a significant amount of weight in the post-operative period. A re-examination is recommended after losing weight.
The patient candidate should quit smoking, alcohol and blood thinners such as aspirin before the operation.
Operational Information
In the Thigh (Upper Leg) lift process, an incision is made from the groin to the back of the thigh for the inner thigh. For the outer thigh, an incision is made from the groin to the buttock. Excess skin and fat are removed, the skin is stretched and sutured.
During the thigh lift surgery, buttock lift surgery is also frequently performed simultaneously at the request of the patient.
After the Operation
There may be swelling and pain after thigh (leg) stretching surgery. In this case, painkillers should be taken. A drain is inserted for a few weeks after the surgery.
A supportive binder is worn for several weeks after surgery. It is recommended not to move too much in the first month.
Scars occur in the groin area after thigh lift surgery. This scar is hidden under a swimsuit, bikini or underwear, so it is difficult to see from the outside. Experienced and skilled surgeons hide these scars better. In addition, these wounds become indistinct over time. However, it is not completely lost.
After this surgery, the patient has a tense and aesthetic appearance, and this appearance continues for a long time, except for rapid weight gain and loss.
